MSC Cruises: Tipping/Service Fee

Service charge or tip are similar concepts. Everyone uses a convenient wording for themselves.

On board MSC Cruises, you will be served everywhere by superbly trained staff. In addition, a lot of employees and crew members work day and night to ensure your rest, the operation of the liner and the entire infrastructure, which you do not see, but thanks to which you can enjoy every moment of your vacation. To make sure you don't have to worry, MSC Cruises automatically includes a daily accommodation service charge on your bill. Its size depends on the route you choose and the number of days of the actual provision of services. The Service Fee provides our guests with the highest quality service. The daily fee calculations below include all details and are not subject to change.

If you wish, you can pay the amount of the service fee before the cruise, you must notify your manager about this when booking the cruise.

Tipping: MSC Cruises does not recommend giving cash tips to individual crew members. On board, the entire payment system is provided by the internal system of each liner. Thus, upon check-in on board the liner, an on-board account will be opened for you, from which a tip (service fee) will be charged.

What tips and in what region will you need to pay?

IMPORTANT: Although we follow all the news in the cruise industry, please check with your cruise specialist before booking a cruise. Tipping can change (usually upwards).

- Mediterranean Sea;
- Norwegian Fjords and Northern Europe;
- Caribbean Islands not from US ports (Antilles);
- UAE and Persian Gulf (Dubai, Emirates and Oman);
- Trip around the world;
- Red sea.

Example:

- cruise for 7 nights / 8 days for a family (2 adults + 2 children 7 and 1 years old).
- 12*2 adults + 6 (child 7 years old) + 0 (infant 1 year old) = 30*7 nights = 210.00 EUR
